The President’s Welcome Message

As President of the Trinidad and Tobago Football Association, It gives me great pleasure to welcome you to our newly re-launched Official Website of the TTFA and its National  Teams.

As we enter a new chapter in our footballing history, the TTFA intends to bring the game closer to you, our fan, our partner, the 12th Warrior, the T&T Faithful!

Through our new website, one of the many new initiatives that our organization will introduce, will be a question and answer segment for our supporters to obtain information on questions  they may have.

We intend to take swift and consistent steps along the way in order to raise and even exceed the expectations of our fans throughout the country and beyond.

Following the remarkable showing of our Men’s National Senior Team at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup, the second in successive  Gold Cup outings and unprecedented in our football history, under the administrative watch of the present regime, it is evident that we possess the potential to elevate our levels of operations that will make the football better structured, more enjoyable, and readily accessible in a more transparent manner that will be satisfying to all.

At this time, I wish to take the opportunity to pay homage to the Men’s Senior Team and members of the team’s staff for its strong showing at the 2015 CONCACAF Gold Cup. The team’s performances have given us every reason to be optimistic as we look ahead to the future. I also wish to thank our Men’s and Women’s Teams for their recent efforts at the Pan American Games.

As President of the TTFA, I feel gratified to have led the organization into a new era with the passing and introduction of a new constitution that will change the way local football is run. It is our intention to ensure that this brings a more modern  approach to good governance. One that emphasises the values of transparency and accountability, two major pillars that will inform how we do business going forward.

In our effort to be less dependent upon the state, we have embarked on an Income Generation Programme that will be activated in coming weeks. We will be introducing a merchandising campaign that will offer T&T football paraphernalia on a wide scale  both at home and abroad.

Income generated from this initiative will go towards our efforts to becoming a more self-sustainable organization, particularly as it relates to the operations of our various National Teams.

Like any forward-looking organisation, we will continue to seek  further strategies to enhance our systems and bring our programmes to the next level.

I would like to convey that exciting times lie ahead indeed!

Through our website, you will be kept in tune with our every step, every iota of development and progress of our operations.

This will include the exploits of our national teams and players along with our refereeing and coaching development programmes. Our social and corporate responsibility campaigns will most certainly be shared with you.

I invite you to follow this path with us. Enjoy and keep supporting our football, the game we all love!

Yours in Football,

David John Williams

President TTFA
