This country’s Senior Men’s Team will travel to face St Vincent and the Grenadines in an international friendly on Monday August 11th, 2019 in Kingstown.
The match was confirmed this week as both teams prepare for upcoming CONCACAF Nations League fixtures.
T&T head coach Dennis Lawrence is expected to assemble a squad on July 29th in the build up for the match.
“The match comes at a good time as we look to resume preparations following the Gold Cup campaign for our Nations League matches in September and November against Martinique and Honduras. This gives us an opportunity to get the group together again and we’re obviously looking forward to a good, competitive exercise on the day,” Lawrence told TTFA Media.
The last time both teams met was in the semi final round of the 2018 CONCACAF World Cup qualifiers with T&T coming away 3-2 winners in the away leg before winning 6-0 at the Hasey Crawford Stadium in March 2016. T&T lost a Digicel Cup encounter to St Vincent 1-0 at Arnos Vale in 2005.
T&T’s opening CONCACAF Nations League A match is away to Martinique on September 6 followed by the return leg at the Ato Boldon Stadium on September 9. Lawrence’s men then host Honduras on October 10th before traveling to Honduras to play on November 17th.
