Lawrence and TTFA extend condolences following death of Leyton Orient manager

The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association extends sincerest condolences to the family of Justin Edinburgh and members of the Leyton Orient football club following his death on Saturday.

The 49-year-old former Tottenham Hotspur player suffered cardiac arrest last Monday before passing on Saturday, a statement from the club confirmed.

Edinburgh led Orient to promotion back to the Football League just last month and was also held in high regard at Tottenham after a 10-year spell as a player between 1990-2000 that saw him make 215 league appearances and win the FA Cup in 1991 and the League Cup in 1999.

Trinidad and Tobago Men’s Team head coach Dennis Lawrence knew Edinburgh as both completed their UEFA Pro License over the same period.

Lawrence and members of his senior team technical staff along with the TTFA are deeply saddened and shocked to hear of his passing. Our thoughts go out to his family and former colleagues during this extremely difficult time.
