The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association wishes to extend sincerest condolences to the family and colleagues of former Jamaican Prime Minister and football supporter Edward Seaga.
Seaga was the chairman of the Jamaican Premier League Clubs Association, Kingston and St Andrew Football Association and Tivoli Gardens Football club. Seaga also worked on a Task Force for the development of a regional professional league alongside TTFA President David John Williams four years ago.
“We have lost a true servant in governance and football,” John Williams stated.
“I had the privilege of serving alongside Mr Seaga on a task force for a Caribbean Professional league four years ago and he was indeed very passionate about the sport and not just Jamaica but the region on a whole. His connect with people of all walks of life on and off the field of play and his concerns for them will always be a source of inspiration. His contribution to the progress and development his country and football will be long remembered,” the TTFA President said.
