Connection host Concacaf Caribbean Club Championship Group A action

On the heels of the CONCACAF Women’s U20 World Cup Qualifiers, Trinidad & Tobago will host Group A of the CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championships which will kick off on January 31st 2018. Local powerhouse WConnection FC, who are no strangers to the premier Caribbean tournament will host the four team group which includes Arnett Gardens (Jamaica), Real Hope FA (Haiti), and Atletico Pantoja (Dominican Republic).

The three match series will feature double header games and takes place at “The Home of Football”, the Ato Boldon Stadium. The teams participating in Group A and Group B will vie for a spot in the tournament’s final round which takes place in May, and is the first step for qualification into the CONCACAF Champions League Tournament, alongside the newly launched Caribbean Cup Shield tier 2 competition. The winner of the 2018 CONCACAF Caribbean Club Championship will qualify directly into the 2019 Scotiabank CONCACAF Champions League, while the runners-up and third placed teams will qualify for the 2018 Scotiabank CONACACAF League.
