Beach Soccer Men and Women win in Bahamas

Trinidad and Tobago’s Under 18 Beach Soccer Men’s Team have gone two in two in their opening set of matches at the Youth Commonwealth Games in Curacao.  T&T got their second win on Thursday, beating St Lucia 5-3 through goals by Immanuel Russell, Kevon Williams, Nathaniel Brown and Omri Baird.

And following that, T&T Men defeated hosts Bahamas 4-2 on Friday through goals by Omri Baird (2), Matthew Brown and Jordan Riley. The Women U-18s also bounced back to defeat Bahamas on penalties after both teams played to a 6-6 draw.

In their opening game on Wednesday, T&T  men battled to a 6-6 draw with Antigua/Barbuda before winning 2-1 on penalties.  Omri Baird and  Juaval Roberts notched doubles while Wedgeman Brown and Che Richards got a goal each.

On the Women side, the results have been mixed with a 5-3 win over Turks and Caicos on the opening day thanks to a double by Nia Honore and one each from Asha James, Tsai-anne Hernandez and Adanya Phillip. But the T&T Women were beaten 5-2 by Jamaica on Thursday.
