The Trinidad and Tobago Football Association completed its latest FIFA Referees Assistance Programme (RAP) workshop in Marabella on Sunday.
The RAP (Referees Assistance Program) is held annually in FIFA affiliated countries.
It is designed to enhance teaching and training techniques and standardization with
the interpretation of the laws. Some of the topics dealt with over the four-day course which took place at the Marabella Secondary South and the Mannie Ramjohn Stadium were: Fitness — Recovery, Strength, Running Technique, Speed and Agility etc.
Technical — Position and Movement, Penalty area Control, Tactical Fouls,
Offside, Hand Ball etc. Sessions were both theory and practical.
The FIFA facilitators were Facilitators were Esfandiar Baharmast, a FIFA Technical Instructor and Alan Brown Morgan, a FIFA Fitness Instructor.
The TTFA instructors were Jaggernath Goolcharan, Michael Ragoonath, Mentor Baptiste, Joseph Taylor, Julien Drayton, Lynda Bramble-Thompson, Boni Bishop, Nigel Roberts and Neal Brizan.
