Colleges Invitational brings in major football “Arsenal” for 2016 All-Star Weekend.

Colleges Invitational All Star Weekend, a holistic football clinic and tournament that focuses on a performance-driven model, will kick off at the Hasely Crawford Stadium from December 16th to the 18th 2016.

Now in its second year of action after a 10-year hiatus, the organization will host three days of activities for teams and individuals. Colleges Invitational is honoured to welcome Arsenal Soccer School USA to Trinidad and Tobago next month, as one of the esteemed organizations expected to be on the look-out for young, fresh talent from the twin-island Republic.

“Having Arsenal partner with Colleges Invitational 2016 is a massive win for the Caribbean. As the global outreach brand, Arsenal Soccer Schools’ collaboration with us will focus on a long term relationship which will set its eyes on the development of the youth players, challenged with difficult path of international success,” says Jean Marc Aimey, Chief Executive Officer of Colleges Invitational Sports Company Ltd. For the organization, the ground work starts now.

“It’s indicative of a wider trend happening in the football industry – the most recognized and successful international clubs, universities, coaches and scouts in football are looking intently to the Caribbean for the next batch of world-class talents to be developed into successful professionals on the international stage. We here at Colleges Invitational are really excited by these developments.”

In addition, Colleges Invitational is awaiting confirmation of more big names in the business soon for its weekend of activities, such as S.L. Benfica from Portugal, AC Milan out of Italy and others. The All-Star weekend will roll out in three parts – with a symposium scheduled on the Friday, All-Day Tournament on the Saturday and the Pro & College Combine Day on Sunday – all focused on training and development of players and professionals.

This action-packed weekend aims to develop the sport of football and provide international opportunities to college and pro players, who have university and career goals in mind. Colleges International’s Director of Sport, Marc Anthony William indicates that, “(…) This is an opportunity to show the world the tremendous talent in the region and help develop and guide these talents into successful professionals. That way, they can thrive and help rebuild the state of the sport in the Region.”
